The Oshun Family Center, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is passionate about providing every member of our Black community access to affordable or free mental health services and maternal health services. The mission of Oshun Family Center is to provide racially concordant mental and physical wellness to members of the Black community struggling to cope with a traumatic birth, postpartum mood disorders, and the impact of systemic racism. It is our goal to center the experiences of Black people and create a welcoming space for healing and refuge. Our practicum and internship program will provide interns with developmental experience through supervision, training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders suicide prevention, and direct treatment of individuals, families, and couples. We ask each intern to be available to accommodate clients who may need to schedule sessions in the evening or weekend by availing yourself of at least one night and one day on the weekend per week. If you are interested please email your resume and cover letter to admin@oshunfamilycenter.org, highlighting your interest in working with the Black community and/or maternal health and we will respond as soon as possible.

*If we are not on the internship list at your college or university please have your internship coordinator connect with us to begin the process.
