Oshun Family Center (OFC) is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing maternal health, healing, and community well-being through culturally responsive mental health care, workforce development, and reproductive justice advocacy. Founded in 2018, OFC is leading the transformation of a vacant warehouse in the Frankford/Kensington corridor into a state-of-the-art Maternal Wellness Center, which will serve as a hub for therapy, workforce training, and holistic community programming.

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $60k – $70k (based on experience)
Position description:
Oshun Family Center (OFC) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist(s) to join our growing clinical team. This full-time position is ideal for a clinician who is deeply committed to advancing racial and birth equity, providing trauma-informed care, and supporting mental wellness across the reproductive lifespan.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, the Psychotherapist will deliver individual, couple, and group therapy with a focus on perinatal and maternal mental health, racial trauma, and family healing. The ideal candidate believes in culturally attuned, community-centered care and is excited to be part of a movement transforming how Philadelphia supports Black birthing people and families. *Full job description discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families.

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR system.

Collaborate with doulas, lactation consultants, and wellness practitioners to ensure holistic, wraparound care for clients.

Participate in weekly supervision, case consultation, and team meetings that foster professional growth and collective care.

Support community engagement and educational initiatives that align with OFC’s mission to improve maternal health outcomes and mental wellness.

Maintain confidentiality, ethical practice, and professional boundaries in all clinical and community interactions.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.

Pennsylvania license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) or license-eligible required.

Minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred.

Experience or strong interest in perinatal mental health, family systems, racial trauma, and community-based healing models.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
