• Do you offer group therapy sessions?

    We have two new and exciting groups that will kickoff in May 2026! Check out our events page in the meantime for current events. Group 1 – Unhinged Healing Hour (grief support group, 18+) Group 2 – New Parents Meet Up (families with children 18ms and younger)

  • Is this a safe space for LGBTQ+ / non-binary clients?

    Absolutely! We are a LGBTQ+ friendly, trans-affirming and non-binary welcoming organization. Some our our clinicians identify within the queer community so if you’re looking for someone with this expertise, just ask!

  • Can I sign up my child to see one of your therapists?

    Yes! We see youth starting at age 13+. Unfortunately, we do not currently treat children 12 and under or those actively involved in the judicial system or the department of human services (DHS). Children over the age of 14 will need to opt-in for consent to begin services. This is typically done with a brief

  • FMLA & other forms

    Any forms requested by your job or elsewhere must be completed during your regular therapy session and approved by our Clinical Director. Oshun Family Center reserves the right to decline signature to any forms requested.

  • Are your therapists licensed?

    Oshun Family Center has licensed, pre-licensed clinicians and clinical interns in training. Our pre-licensed clinicians are in the process of seeking licensure requirements in order to sit for the board exams. Every clinician is a master’s level clinician and has completed an advanced degree in mental health/psychology in addition to supplemental training in niche areas.

  • What area do you service?

    We currently service the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • What is a “superbill”?

    A superbill is a document produced by our billing department to aid in private insurance reimbursement programs. On a monthly basis we will email you through our secure portal with the proper documentation for submission. Please note that a diagnosis code is required for these documents therefore if you’re looking for discretion from your employer,

  • Who should I contact with billing questions?

    Please email billing@oshunfamilycenter.org with any concerns about your bill. We appreciate your patience as it may take some time to investigate your inquiry.

  • Cancellation Policy

    Any changes to upcoming sessions including cancellations or time adjustments must be made prior to 24 hours of your appointment. Clients are responsible for the full session fee for any and all cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment. The full fee also applies to any appointments where the client is a “No Show”.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    Yes, we currently accept the following insurance plans, Aetna, Cigna, Optum, HighMark and IBX. We do not currently accept Medicaid but it is our goal to accept those plans in this year, check back in periodically for updates.
